MOBILE MAINTENANCE DEPLOYMENT STATION - THE CUBE

The Cube is the perfect solution for F-35, general aviation, and industrial use. Suitable for tooling, GSE, and consumable storage the Cube functions vary; from a mobile tool and supply closet all the way to a mobile support section. Forklift pockets, crane hoist points, and included attachable wheels, the cube can be placed wherever it is needed and transported with ease via truck, air or sea. Dimensions of the Cube allow it to be secured to a flight pallet and fit C-130 loading for forward deployment.

Construction:
Constructed from powder coated Aluminum, the Cube is lightweight and corrosion resistant. Accessible from either front or back the cube offers full length doors, dual half doors, or roller curtain. Half door option offers a 1040mm awning, providing shelter from elements. Flexible rubber door latches for securement of full length or bottom half doors in open position. The cube has single side forklift pocket designed to prevent unintentional damage from attempting to forklift with doors latched open. Boasting a modular construction, the cube’s side panels are easily replaceable by bolting on a new panel at location in the event of damage. Integrated and easy removal and install “bolt on” Power hook up box. Angled roof construction facilitates rain drainage, preventing pooling. Roof has integrated D-Hook hoist points. Rubber weather stripping prevents water entry into the cube when closed. The cube includes removable “twist lock” caster wheels with polyurethane tread and double ball bearings.

Internal:
The cube is designed in a 4-compartment design. Each compartment is fully customizable from open storage locker, mirrored open locker design offers a walk-through hallway style compartment suitable for work station bulk storage or maintenance control area, or drawers and shelving section. The Cube contains an integrated 2kw heater, interior slotted LED Light Strips, internal wheel storage bracket for the Cube’s caster wheels. Shelving compartment can be customized with any combination of locking sliding drawers with 200kg capacity and shelving with fold down face plate. Drawers and shelves feature a full extension design allowing 100% drawer access of 600 millimeters depth. Drawer and shelf height is customizable 75 – 100 – 125 – 150 – 200 – 250 – 300 millimeters. Drawers and shelves feature fully customizable removable face label and engravable plates, all languages symbols and designs are able to be printed or engraved onto plate. Tool outfitting is fully customizable to customer specifications. Drawers feature the Fosen Tools proprietary High Density Foam Insert (HDFI), tool specific cutouts with laser etching able to add labels or designs.

Operational Capability:
The cube addresses the constraint of having multiple maintenance needs spread out for deployment. This is addressed by consolidating tools, consumables, non-powered GSE, and maintenance control into one consolidated unit. The cube creates a singular maintenance hub for multiple crews and flightline expeditor to operate out of. This significantly reduces man hours for deployment pack out, transport, setup, and operation. Properly outfitted, the Cube can support maintenance operational needs from Launch and recovery to major grounding unscheduled maintenance, such as engine, landing gear removal and install or ABDR (Aircraft Battle Damage Repair). Unloading from C-130 to fully operational can be completed within minutes, only requiring a forklift driver placing the Cube wherever needed outdoors or indoors. It can operate autonomously without any permanent infrastructure, allowing it to shine in even the most remote locations. Able to support 2-4 F-35 aircraft. Aluminum construction significantly reduces weight and transport costs. Compatible with Air, Sea, or truck transport. The modular design facilitates easy and quick repairs in the field ensuring minimal to no downtime. The cube accommodates for environmental needs of technicians by providing shelter from the elements with the option of upper “half doors” providing an awning, when in the open position, and providing heat via the 2kw heater. The Heater also keeps stored LO (Low Observable) consumables at operating temperatures during cold weather. HDFI inserts secure tools in place during transport and prevent deterioration from spilled chemicals or sunlight damage, while the hard cover prevents impact damage.
